Version: iolo Firewall 1.5.1.3
Pros: This firewall was released in July. 2007 without "Vista" support. It has an average at best GUI and fails miserably at some leak and port open firewall tests. This application is a $39.95 waste of money and nothing more. If you are one looking to buy an effective firewall that works great with "XP" and "Vista", I recommend trying "Fort Knox Personal Firewall 2007". It sells at a good price, it looks great and passes every test I found to through at it. After my troubles with this application and "System Mechanic", I'm starting to doubt, "IOLO" has any software worth bothering wit.

Pros: An idiot would tell someone ..not to use any of iolo products.Yes! an Idiot.iolo has been a front runner in all its products and i have personally made purchase of some of them ie. Systtem Mechanic,A very good program for any computer system.but to hear a blooming idiot to say don't use any iolo products fires me up...People that make a statement like that are the freeloaders of give-a-way programs and are stupid and un-mature in reasoning.You Folks, can trust iolo for a well produced program or program(s).And that is...Truth from someone that has a little-sense.

"Dont bother with any of iolo products"
Pros: nice look
Cons: leaves loads of open ports open and makes your net lag down to a crawl even for broadband

Pros: I am currently using this firewall on trial on XP Home and have had no problems so far. I have it set on custom level and it does the business, and works well with F-Secure Antivirus 2006. It has not blocked any websites on me.
Saying this, I don't know if it runs in stealth as that will make a big difference in my decision to buy or not.
Cons: I haven't run into any yet.

Pros: I find the firewall and System Mechanic Pro 7 very easy to work with Vista Home Premium , you may have to tweak a bit but that's easy to do. Even Hewlett Packard couldn't get to my computer to use remote assistance, except to watch me move my mouse around. I feel very protected, have not had any weaknesses in testing. I love Iolo!!
Cons: You have to tweak to get the Vista firewall to work WITH Iolo firewall, I like both in use, although Vista firewall is very strong on it's own. SO easy, it's not even a true "con".
