"Pretty good at converting video"

I used HyperCam to capture some video onscreen and then used this iWisoft Converter to compress them, and the results included extra ugly artifacts on the video. I only just downloaded it a couple hours ago and I've had to try various settings to get the results I wanted. Thankfully, it's fairly fast. Now, I'm getting OK video in a very, very compressed FLV format. I still have to try to figure out how to get other formats and sizes to work, but overall, I'm impressed.

no "Pros", install froze about half-way, opened three identical error windows with "Lua Error!" titles
Cons
could not exit frozen install, could not close third error window -- link to screenshot below -- had to terminate the install app from Task Manager

Excellent freeware, you can also adjust the brightness and contrast the video before convert other format.

1. Needs to update before use, that's not fair. For the user that is in trial using and needs to use several time, if it is good, they will update.
2. When it startup, you'll see an update successfully popup message. That's obstructs to all users.Summary

This is very fast at converting my 1h 17m avi video into mp3 format, and there is so many formats to choose from. This is a must have download because it doesn't need the internet, so wherever you are, you can convert!!! Definitely download, even if you don't need it now, there will be a time when you do.

Very well designed, especially a free one. Never have any problem using it. Works like a charm. FANTASTIC!

Cannot merge individual videos that are already converted without having to reconvert them.
Do not have the capability to run batch conversion for mutiple tasks; other than that the iWisoft Video Converter is the best one I ran across.Summary
Deserve one extra star: Six stars!
