"Excellent alternative to codec packs."

Does what it says it will do with minimal hassle.
Cons
Forces your browser open to check for updates every time you open it. Automatically creates a folder in Documents which I wish it didn't do; would prefer it if everything was kept together.
Summary
I admit I was skeptical but it's all true; try it you'll like it. Has a couple of downsides but the upsides far outweigh them.

Many, many formats that you can covert to and from, good batch converting, excellent value (it's free!), very customizable.
Cons
Slower then I'd have liked.

There are a lot of options for video conversion available out there, but I can recommend iWisoft Video Converter as one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of using. Lots of easy to use presets, and plenty of options. The speed could be better, but it's excusable considering the formats available. I could convert, say, an .avi video file into an optimized portable media player .mp4, a .flv, a common .wmv, or even an animated gif. A solid and excellent choice for your video conversion needs.

Converts videos is all kinds of video, sound, and even image formats. Comes with a video editor and viewer at no extra charge. Easy interface, with drag and drop feature, and does batch conversions. And my absolute favorite, ITS FREE!!!
Cons
Converts videos alittle slower than some other converters that I've seen, but no other converter came with this many formats and I'm patient, so I don't mind waiting alittle.
Summary
I highly recommend this to anyone who converts videos like me. Its worthy of 6 stars if possible.

Pros
Does it's job well with no gimmicks like ads or watermarks. There are many settings to choose from video quality, size, and codecs. Very simple and straightforward to use interface.
Cons
Launches a browser window at start just to tell you it's up to date. Other than that it works like a charm.
Summary
If you're looking for a free video converter for your I-pod, Zune, PSP or whichever mobile device, this program is it.
