"songs playing at 2 times of the original speed... remix, huh?"

    September 20, 2006  |   By chrno32

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

the layout and the album art display is nice...

    Cons

i donnoe whether this happens to everyone but it did to me and my friend. iTunes works normally by itself, but when i(my friend too) open a full screen programme, like a game,it just messed up. It plays the songs at a freaking high speed, almost 2 times of the original speed. Sometimes, while speed playing the songs, it may also play the song at its original speed at the same time... Its like, ***?!?!

"The best digital jukebox ever to hit the Windows platform"

    September 19, 2006  |   By dustinsoftware

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

A nice, clean design that plays a variety of music and video formats, and low CPU usage while playing music (minimized).

    Cons

Whenever I shut down my PC, it takes a while for iTunes to close on its own (at least a minute), so I end up having to shut it down manually by clicking the End Now button. Also, to get album art requires a credit card for registration.

    "Wait till they fix it!"

    September 19, 2006  |   By iconwoden

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

You can download movies and games to your ipod now.

    Cons

It wont play music anymore!?!? When I first upgraded it was not playing my music well, everything was really distorted, I assumed it had an issue with a different program and shut each anti virus and firewall off in turn to see what it was. I finally rebooted to see if that would help at this point it moved all of my purchased music to a different hard drive. It also "lost" my playlists, lucky I save them as I update them after a girlfriend related issue, I had to uninstall 7.0 and go with 6.5. Has to be the glitchiest update yet.

    "unbelievably poor"

    September 18, 2006  |   By ceeque

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Cons

I cannot believe how bad this is.After constructing a playlist, which is in no way an intuitive experience, the playback lags, distorts and is generally completely unlistenable to.If you move your mouse or attempt to do anything else while this player is in "use" you`ve had it....

I can`t believe that Apple could produce something this poor, its put me off them for good, I`m so disappointed I can`t get over it!

    "Improving greatly"

    September 18, 2006  |   By Stinger15

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

I think that this version has improved greatly since 6.0. It also has many more viewing options, just like WMP 10. And one thing I really like is the viewing of the album art. You can switch between every album you have and even view the album art if you have it. If you don't have it, right click on the song and click Download Album Art and it will automatically find the album art.

Other than the views, nothing much has changed besides the new look, which, in my opinion, is a great look for it. Also seems to be a bit faster than the last version.

Definitely upgrade, if you haven't had iTunes before, definitely download.

    Cons

Although above, I said that it is faster, but its also 16 MB bigger as far as size of the program (although it's probably nothing compared to the size of all your music). And the viewing the album art view is a little slow and sometimes takes a few seconds to load the image.

    "Stick with the older version"

    September 17, 2006  |   By ajajadude

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

Added some nice features such as being able to see album art when playing songs and updated the overall look of the interface.

    Cons

The moment I updated to this latest version, the playback was horrendous. I get scratchy playback, at best, that only gets worse when I try and run any other program, even if it's just opening up my AIM buddy list window.

This iTunes version runs like I'm using a 486 PC, not a year-old Pentium M laptop.

My advice: don't upgrade until Apple deals with this issue so many people seem to be having.

    "Great"

    September 17, 2006  |   By einstein999123

    Version: iTunes for Windows 7

    Pros

I had no problems with the sound, even though the priority was set to normal. Actually, I found the sound quality better than 6. It has a cool interface.

    Cons

It crashed once, and can be a bit slow in opening and closing. It's also a bit of a memory hog, but it's all right apart from that.
