"CNet vs VersionTracker"
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.1.2

CNet will not accept a posting without an entry here
Cons
CNet will not accept a posting without an entry here
Summary

"Does everything, very slowly"
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.1
Pros
Great organization, integrated store, equalizer, some sharing features
Cons
Unresponsive and frequently stalls
Summary
iTunes 10.1 does everything, but not well. This release comes with so many new beachball inducing features that it's almost unusable. Gapless playback scans, both initial and random updates, still cause random momentary hangs. The more music you put in, the worse it gets.

"Like others iTunes will NOT install on windows 7"
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.1
Pros
What is there to like when you can't even install the program!
Cons
There is not 1 good thing about iTunes 10.1. It is nothing. I paid my computer guy who I have been using for over 7 years. He worked for Microsoft for 11 years and would not take my money after one hour of trying to install this version of iTunes.
Summary
The people at Apple didn't put this version of iTunes together with any thought or care about the people that don't have Mac's. I have a Windows 7 Desktop and a Mac laptop. We, the tech and I had NO trouble with the Mac Laptop, but after an hour of trying to install iTunes 10.1 on windows 7 was a "Nightmare". The tech said he has had several other calls from people with same problems. Every time he would try to install iTunes he would get a different error message. He tried in safe mode and other configurations but it would just be another Error message. Two days later he called me and asked if he could send a Friend of his over to see what he could do and also told me he was NOT taking any more calls for this issue. He also told me he had witten an e-mail to Apple telling them that they had made dirt out
iTunes. Also what happen to Drag & Drop in V. 10.1? -
"Crashes with every attempted start despite..."
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.1
Pros
So far, nothing.
Cons
Despite repair of hard disk, full maintenance (e.g., disk permissions), clean re-install, absence of shareware/freeware, and otherwise normal MacBook Pro, ever since installing iTunes 10.1, program hangs with every start, making Force Quit necessary.
Summary
Disappointing and no help forthcoming from Apple thus far.
