"does what I need - itunes 10"
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.2.2
Pros
works for me but I mostly do music
Cons
does not let you click on apodcast name you have downloaded and flip over to the itunes store to check out the newer versions of that podcast . itunes 7 and 8 did that but they took away that nice feature.
Summary
what else would i use?!!

"I have it since the beginning and I like it"

-
"The 10 versions seem hit or miss"
Version: iTunes (OS X) 10.2.1
Pros
still play- podcasts and tunes on the MacBook well. Helps with update of iPhone.
Cons
It has been difficult to authorize my MacBook Pro for my iPhone. Sync with the iPhone since I also use the cloud gives duplicate entries, but not always. ring tones remain impossible to keep on the iPhone, they disappear at random.
Summary
iTunes 9.? worked well. never had an authorization problem. Now with 10 I cannot keep the computer authorized with the iPhone. the iPhone apps are not in the library to sync with the phone and if I sync I will lose all the apps since none are currently in the library. authorizing the computer has the library recognize the missing apps but vill transfer empty apps, almost as bad as no apps. try a subsequent sync and the apps are again gone. Since the 10. version my ringtones are dropped frequently from the phone.
