"Easy to use, but every conceivable option."
Version: iText for Windows 3.5
Pros
Easy to use
All the formatting functions you want - font, size, italics, all 4 margins, etc.
Saves to any format - Rich Text, MS Word, etc.
WYSIWYG -What You See Is What You Get - meaning that your page layout will print exactly as you see it.
Cute!Cons
You can choose what font, what size font, and what margins you want as a default setup, or change them with a few clicks. You can also choose the default size of the window. (These are more PROs.)
I cannot think of any CONs. It's free.Summary
Everyone I know that has tried iText has kept on using it.
What I meant by "it saves to MS Word" is that is saves to Rich Text, which is 100% compatable with and openable by Word.
There is a low-cost version with all sorts of bells and whistles, but I am quite content with the free version ... which I have been using for several years now.
