"if you just want to get the music off your iPod..."
Pros: this trial lets you get to the songs on your ipod, my computer crashed, so that was good for me
Cons: i could only get five songs this way, but i found another way to get the songs off my ipod. heres how to do it (pc)
go to folder options (it is easier to find if you go to control panel and switch to classic view.)scroll down until you find hidden folder options, and select show hidden files and folders.
plug in your ipod, go to my computer, open your ipod, and to to ipod_control.
there are several folders, click the first one. some of your songs will be in here, but the names will be four letter codes. (itunes gets most of the song names, if you downloaded from the music store or did the song name yourself after getting it off a cd or something, yuou're fine. i have 200 songs and about five of them didnt have the names.)
highlight all the songs, right click one of them and click play (if itunes is not your default media player, click open with, and then select itunes)
go back one folder and repeat this with all the other folders you see under ipod_control. all the folders seem pretty random, so just go through them and find your songs. you can do this with any ipod, i got my friends ipod and did it, so now i have 100 more songs. this sounds hard, but it really isn't. hope this helps

"Amazingly helpful for getting songs off your iPod"
Pros: Getting songs off your iPod.
Fast and automatically adds the song to you iTunes library.
Cons: The demo only allows 5 songs per copy.

Cons: It cannot change the display tags of the mp3s on the ipod.

Cons: Doesn't work at all. Very slow, and doesn't even transfer anything don't bother.
