iPhoto Buddy for Mac User Reviews

"I could not see the benefit of the app for my work"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.5
Pros
I can't see any. As someone has already stated, I can do everything that the app supposes in iPhoto already.
Cons
I am running OSX 10.6.5 completely to date. This may be why I had so much trouble getting the application to go. I printed the manual to be sure that I was doing everything the way the program liked it. However, I could not get it function properly.
Summary
I would say that if you are operating with Snow Leopard and iLife/iWork 08 up, this app will not be easy to work with. Get out the iPhoto manual and you will find ways to do what it is that you are looking for.

"Didn't like it"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.5
Pros
Didn't find any
Cons
Can make albums in iPhoto that does, essentially, the same thing.
-
"So easy to use."
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.5
Pros
It's nice to be able to quickly and easily go back and forth between all my iPhoto libraries. I keep it open all the time.
Cons
There isn't anything I don't like.

"Excellent for managing more than one iPhoto Library"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.5
Pros
This is a very easy to use piece of software that quickly allows you to choose between different photo libraries.
Cons
I really can say nothing negative against this software
Summary
If you have 1000's upon 1000's of photos, you might want to break them up into smaller libraries. This software allows you to easily switch between libraries.

Cons

-
"Nice to have all my libraries available at a click."
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.4

Cons
I haven't found anything.

"great photo library manager"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.4
Pros
I have been using iPhoto Buddy for years. It has helped me group sets of photos, like my thousands of shots taken over a year in Australia, so I don't have one monster, slow-loading library, which iPhoto would have me do.
Plain and simple, it works.Cons
What's not to like?

"Gives me many iPhoto libraries and manages faultlessly"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.4
Pros
I work with photos both professionally and personally. iPhoto Buddy allows me to many different category libraries and access them individually. More libraries = safety. iiPhoto Buddy is totally reliable in my experience of many years of use.
Cons
Haven't struck a negative.

"Unbelievably Great App!"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.3
Summary

I've been using iPhoto Buddy since about Version 1.1 (at least 5 years). As an educator, web-rookie; designer; animator; (among the many hats I wear using digital photos), I use (or support others using) several versions of Mac OS X and of iPhoto/iLife. I encourage all my clients and students to use iPhoto Buddy.
I am still in awe, with every iP update that Apple hasn't taken up this idea. Those of you who prefer to quit iPhoto, reopen holding the option key, and then browse for your other libraries each time you want to change -- more power to you, but I much prefer to have my list of libraries in one place from which I can relaunch the iPhoto library I need in one step. I have several different categories of photos -- Family shots; Professional photography; school yearbook client website photos; stop-motion animation libraries; to name a few.
Moreover, without having to open each library, I iPhoto Buddy shows me exactly which albums, books, slideshows; how many "items" (pix & movies); which iPhoto version; etc., etc.
Don't know how I'd function without iPhoto Buddy!
Thank you for keeping it freeware. I encourage all to donate. -
"Wonderful Product"
Version: iPhoto Buddy 1.3.2
Summary

This free application worked so well for dividing up an overcrowded iPhoto Library that I donated.
It's much easier than switching libraries via the built-in Mac way. The interface is well thought out and attractive, and the users manual is extensive. It's great!
