From Digital Power:
iPhone Text Messages is a reliable application designed specifically for extracting messages from your iPhone backups, enabling you to save them to PDF format files. This intuitive piece of software automatically detects all the iPhone backup files on your computer and allows you to select the preferred one from the left-side panel. iPhone backup files are created automatically, when you connect your device to the computer, during the 'Sync' operation that your iTunes performs, but it can also be done manually whenever you see fit. The program can even work with multiple iPhone devices at the time time, displaying them as distinct entries in the left-side list. iPhone Text Messages will then display the various contacts with whom you exchanged messages, and allow you to display the conversation in the application's main window. By clicking on one of the listed contacts, you will be able to view both the received and the sent messages, along with any inserted pictures or links. Moreover, with iPhone Text Messages you can view and save the contents of iMessages and MMS messages. In addition, you can even use this tool with other Apple devices, such as iPad or iTouch. After deciding which are the messages you want to save, you can choose them from the list, then press the 'Save to PDF' button and they will immediately be exported to a location of your choice, on your computer. Moreover, you have the option of sending the selections directly to the printer, to use them right away. iPhone Text Messages is a useful piece of software that you can use anytime you need to view the messages from your iPhone directly on your computer, or save them to PDF file and print them, so you can read them more easily.
It works pretty well to review your texts from backup. Its simple and strait forward.
The program is very small in size.
Is only $3.99 to gain the ability to print or convert to PDF
It is a bit slow to process the texts when you click on them.
You have to pay to print your texts and or convert to PDF
Pictures that are part of your texts appear really small and you cant enlarge.
It works pretty well for a viewer of backup texts and is small in size, so won't take up much room to install. It is cheap, $3.99, to gain full access to all its tools and is worth it if you plan to buy it for that reason. If you just want a good viewer, "iExplorer" has a lot sleeker, faster, more robust interface with more abilities of reviewing texts with a bit bigger versions of your pictures(still can't see full size) and some other things stored in a backup in its free demo version. To gain full access to all iExlporer tools though(same tools crippled in free version of "iExlporer" as in "iPhone Text Messages") costs an enormous amount more in comparison and is a whopping $34.99, which I don't think is worth it.
