Version: iMiser Research Assistant 3.1 build 1073
"Works well as an offline research browser"
Pros: mostly it works very well, has some nice features. User interface takes a little time to get use to...can be customized. I bought the paid version after trial and although it took a full day to receive the subsciption key code, I received an email apoligizing for the delay due to server being down. I have used it effectively for college research projects.
Cons: I had an antispyware alert on a file associated with program.

I am the lead programmer of iMiser research Assistant. You can rest assured that iMiser contains no spyware, viruses, or other malware. The reviewer's comment that "I had an antispyware alert on a file associated with program" could have had several causes. When iMiser first starts up, it goes online by default to check for free updates. This feature can be turned off. This could have triggered an antispyware alert since it was an unsolicited attempt to connect to the Internet. Also, many antispyware programs are notorious for giving false positives. Furthermore, iMiser's installer is digitally signed by Comodo Group, making it virtually tamper-proof.
Irobot7, it would be of interest to know which antispyware program was used and which file gave the alert. Please reply so I can get in touch with the company.
