"You might want to check out the Selenium IDE tool"

    October 3, 2008  |   By johnny_zebra

    Version: iMacros for Firefox 6.0.7.5

    Pros

not finished reviewing it yet, but flash, silverlight and java interaction and testing would be an awesome thing to have, and being able to run it in IE and firefox is a big deal too

    Cons

It would be nice if they had a more affordable consumer version

    Summary

If your tasks are more involved, and you want to be alerted if there is something missing or not correct about a page before it proceeds to the next step, you may want to look into the free firefox plugin called Selenium IDE
    http://selenium.openqa.org/

Selenium IDE is part of a full web page testing suite, but its great for recording all of your clicks, mousemoves, data input, multiple windows, verifying that certain elements and text are visible, page load times, etc. I've used it to record filling in online forms, taking surveys, setting up new devices, etc. The tests can be shared with other people, and there are even ways to run the tests in other browsers.

    "A great time saver!"

    June 20, 2007  |   By nycmark38

    Version: iMacros for Firefox 0.8.0.2

    Pros

It is like a mixture of Roboform and Greasemonkey. It can automate logins, but it can do much more: After the login, it can navigate right to the page where I want to be. It also automates my daily standard searches, online banking and helps we uploading pictures to Flickr. It saves me about 1-2 hours PER DAY.
