    "Didn't Work Only Heard Commercials then hung up"

    October 20, 2008  |   By Jacqueline Goodison

    Version: iCall 2.0.0.38

    Pros

    Fast download and install.

    Cons

    I couldn't get it to work. I could dial, but all I would hear was a commercial, then it would hang up. I unblocked firewalls, forwarded ports, but nothing worked.

    Summary

    Waste of time for me.

    "Great VOIP application"

    November 7, 2007  |   By doctor82

    Version: iCall 2.0.0.38

    Pros

    Unlimited free incoming calls;

    It costs only local rates for the caller;

    Almost entire USA supported'

    Receive calls from anywhere in the world for free;

    Dial for 5 min to anywhere in USA for free ( so that you can give them your access number so that they can call you back as their local call!)

    Cons

    Outgoing call is free only for 5 min;

    It gets disconnected often in the middle of conversation and need to reconnect again (I'm not sure if it is to limit the free calls)

    "Product works, but claims are incomplete/misleading"

    November 5, 2007  |   By psimmoba

    Version: iCall 2.0.0.38

    Pros

    ease of use

    voice quality is ok

    Cons

    no documentation

    Sure, it's free, and it works fairly easily and with fair quality. What they don't tell you anywhere up front or in their KnowledgeBase is that free calls are limited to FIVE MINUTES. How do you discover that? The first time you make a call that reaches the limit - you're just disconnected with no warning. I don't know what other limits there are to the free service, and I'm not hanging around to find out.

    "not unlimited free calling"

    September 22, 2007  |   By samiakouki

    Version: iCall 2.0.0.38

    Pros

    voice quality is quite good

    Cons

    people in here mentioned that thanks to icall they have been able to talk for free for hours but it's not true, icall offers only 5 minutes free calling, and they claim that if you upgrade to icall pro you'll get unlimited calling to minutes to canada and the states but i'm sure that there is a catch here too, like a limited number of free minutes

    "The best free VoIP out there right now!"

    August 24, 2007  |   By Taker888

    Version: iCall 2.0.0.38

    Pros

    Icall is a very good free VoIP service. I can make free calls to lanelines and mobiles anywhere in the U.S and Canada on my computer. I dont really care about overseas calls cuz i don't know anybody overseas. Anyways though, the calls is very clear, even the people who im talking too can hear me very good. No drop calls so u can talk for hours and hours. I wish their was a way for you to block your # but at the same time who cares, cuz if a annoying person wants to call u back, they are going to get a message that says "Plz enter the icall # ur trying too reach." Besides that i really recommend this VoIP service to anybody who wants to make free calls on their pc. Hopefully icall dont be dumb and start charging customers like what skype did earler this year. Then again who knows.
