TeamViewer remote-administration tools help a company's support staff manage Windows, MacOS, and Linux machines as well as Android, iOS, and Chrome OS devices. TeamViewer also lets users share their desktop and transfer files, hold online meetings, and host and attend Web conferences.

TeamViewer FAQs

  • What is TeamViewer?
TeamViewer lets a company's support and IT staff remotely access and support multiple devices (including PCs, Macs, and Android and iOS phones), share files, and attend online meetings. Administrators can use desktop and portable devices to manage users, and TeamViewer secures its end-to-end data channels using RSA 2048-bit and AES 256-bit encryption.
  • How much does TeamViewer cost?

A personal license for managing home computers is free. A business license ranges from a single-user package for $809 -- which lets you manage 200 devices -- to a 200-user license for $3,599, which covers 1,000 devices. TeamViewer says it can also set up licenses for larger or unique situations.

  • How do I download TeamViewer?

You download the current version, TeamViewer 11, for Windows 10 and 8.1, Mac OS X 10.7 and later, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry.

To find earlier versions going back to TeamViewer 7, see the TeamViewer previous versions page for download links. Earlier editions support PCs back to Windows XP and the Mac back to OS X 10.4.
