    "Good, efficient application"

    February 8, 2010  |   By Moonlight Gambler

    Version: eMaps 2.0.2

    Pros

Less overhead than Goggle Earth, quicker & easier to use than Goggle Maps in your browser.

    Cons

I would still like to see separate boxes for starting point and destination.
Ability to edit mistakes would also be nice.

    Summary

Don't let either of the "cons" above stop you from trying this.
It's quick, easy to use, and does the job very well.

    "GoogleMaps at their best"

    January 24, 2010  |   By Fariborz Amirshahi

    Version: eMaps 2.0

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This tiny application keeps getting better and better. Version 2.0 has now many new features and functions faster and more flawlessly on my iMac. I think the author has really made a great effort to keep this program simple and yet powerful enough to satisfy the most demanding users. If you use it please don't forget to donate something for its future developments. I'm confident its developer will make good use of your generosity. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy)

    "Neat little application"

    December 15, 2009  |   By Moonlight Gambler

    Version: eMaps 1.1.1

    Pros

Potentially "lighter", quicker & easier than Google Earth and Google Maps. (Both of which I use, but have more features etc. than I need.)

    Cons

The "get directions" function is very awkward.

    Summary

The "get directions" function requires you:
"Drag the marker to set the starting point (A).
Click another point on the map to set the ending destination (B)."
You have to know where your destination is located BEFORE you can drag a marker to it.
Two search bars, (starting point & destination like Google Earth/Maps,) would vastly improve ease of use.
