"Constantly Crashes"
Version: eMaps 2.8.0.003
Pros
Still a very good app. simple easy to use
Cons
Try magnifying any map and after one or two attempts it slows, then crashes. To date it has crashed every time I've used it and especially when I want to get down to street level.Nothing helps , originally the designer had resolved the time out problems but now I find they are back with no resolving.
Summary
Stick with the earlier version, this one is useless.

"Yaaaaaaaawn!"
Version: eMaps 2.6.7
Pros
None - It is like something from 8 years ago.
Cons
Help is no help.
Very unintuitive user interface. Difficult to delete markers, you must delete the whole route.
I could never find a way to get rid of...
- "Get Address" markers
- street view markers
- photo icons
...they just littered the whole map until you reset and lose everything.
No way to add a location into the middle of an existing route.
No way to reorient (rotate 90 degrees) the printable map to be landscape and fill the page.
"Better than Google Earth?" Are you crazy? eMaps is more like Google Map's very early days. It doesn't have ANY of the Google Earth functions, especially 3D. Even without 3D, eMaps still is terrible... very frustrating!Summary
Even as a totally free app, I'm deleting it as a waste of space.

"The little Mapp that is"
Version: eMaps 2.2.1
Pros
Ease of use, simplicity, price.
Cons
None yet still working on it.
Summary
I have been using this software for a couple of months and found it to be far superior to any other on the market.Planning a cycle tour through Japan and have what I call paper maps, aerial and topographics to plot my directions.Have already been to Japan a number of times so used my previous knowledge to work out any bugs this software might have, it hasn't failed yet.Proven by laying it side by side with Mapple fold out maps from Japan close to 100% accurate and in English, what more can you ask for?
