e-Campaign provides users with a chance to design and send their e-mails to countless recipients. With a layout that caters to both HTML experts and e-mail novices alike, this is a fantastic choice for practically anyone.
The program's interface will remind many people of professional quality software like Microsoft Outlook. One major difference is the tabs for viewing HTML code and some additional word processing applications that help create unique e-mails. The program also provides a Help file for anyone feeling overwhelmed. Creating and sending e-mail was surprisingly simple, with very few roadblocks. Designing an e-mail to send was as simple as making a flier on word processing software, thanks to its many options. However, users who prefer the intricacy of HTML code can easily switch to that view and write their own code for an e-mail. Sending the message was slightly more complicated, due, in part, to the fact that users are encouraged to bring over mailing lists from a database, instead of manually entering them. While this may inconvenience some, we see it ultimately being a time-saving tool. The program is rich in special features as well. Adding sound to your e-mail, performing mail merges, and encoding the message are simple button click functions that will add personality to an e-mail.
The program comes with a 50-address trial. While there are some small roadblocks, we were impressed with e-Campaign's ability to appeal to novice and expert e-mail senders and think it is worth a download.

Summary
I spent two weeks evaluating over a dozen bulk email programs. Only a handful of them actually worked; many were apparently created by amateurs.
e-Campaign is clearly the best in terms of features, usability, reliability, and ease of use.
It has all the features that I need to send HTML newsletters to my lists.
For many programs, more features often lead to bloated (and thus hard-to-use) user interface. This is not the case with e-Campaign. The developers of e-Campaign cleverly pack the features in a logical way; you can always find the most frequently used operations very conveniently; while advanced and less commonly used options are reasonably hidden under sub-menus.
Aside from the easy-to-follow user interface, its email delivery engine also rocks. I did extensive testing to send emails of various formats (eg. plain text, images, attachments, Japanese and Arabic email, etc), e-Campaign was the only program that passed all my tests.
Many other bulk email programs are still developed with the mindset of the 1990s, when email messages were mostly in Latin scripts. These programs mistakenly encoded my Japanese emails, and the recipients got a bunch of strange marks. -

Summary
I have bought 4 or 5 keys to this.
Support keep realeasing new version every year with new and useless features - meaning you can't download an old copy of the file. I asked support to provide me with version of the files that I had purchased, the one support guy (Simon Liu, total assmunch - eds. you may delete this paranthesis if you must) told me that they no longer allow you to do this because they no longer support the software old software. I had to upgrade every key at $150 per licence for features I did not wish. My old purchase was a waste of money because they would not let me redownload the file - even CNET just points to the latest version, I was unsuccessful in finding it online. -

Easy to use though it has some annoying bugs. It would be much better overall if it actually had support.

Support will not support you. You will most probably not get a reply at all or get a plain NO.

The e-mailing part of this product is quite good - options to connect to lots of databases where you can connect by table or query to most DB's
Cons
The HTML editing is very flaky - support for tables doesn't work - I was told by support that it isn't supported and to redesign our campaigns - even though there are options/buttons & dialogs to set these up! Since complaining and requesting a refund, we have not heard from them so I guess a refund is not forthcoming. Test thoroughly before commiting as you won't get your money back - even if the problem is with the product

It looks good is well thought out and works in practice. Plus you can see the mails in a builder / previewer unlike Mailbomber which would be my #2 choice. I also noted that the number of options for sending and receipt checking technologies was excellent including SMTP(yours), SMTP(their server), IMAP (for receipts) and so on. I will not for instance put my contacts names Price is good should you get hooked on it and want to buy, whereas others I have seen here that look good and glossy woudl be unpurchasable even I did like them. Demo is limited to 50 mailings. For a trial I believe this to be fair. It is also makes this a good genuine shareware option for someone such as a club secretary who has minimal requirements. Shareware should work 100% and have limitations only for heavy or professional users. This is good shareware with a well thought out restriction that allows people genuine use growing into a purchase. Well done on that!

The opt out lists are frankly beyond me and the help concerning it atrocioius. I can see that I can hand feed it my exclusions quite readily - but the automation?? I assume it's great and the help is poor as that would be in line with the rest of the product. I don't personally have time to wrestle with it though.
