"Not recommended for purchase"
Version: dBpoweramp Music Converter 14.2
Pros
Batch converts wma files
Cons
Bought the software and converted my music library to WAV with it. Worked most of the time.
Uninstalled because Win7 reported it was using *16GB* of HDD. Went to re-install and couldn't locate the serial number. The Illustrate site reports that there aren't any orders found for my email address.
No prob - I email customer service. Mr. dBAmp himself sends a 1 sentence reply (no joke) saying they don't keep records past 6 months for 'security reasons'. Deep breath, I make a friendly reply asking if they email confirmations - you know, he can tell me what the sending address is - I'll just find it myself and I'm set. Easy.
Nope. He sends me another snarky 1 sentence reply saying they 'email confirmations twice'. That's it. It's a slightly easier for him to just tell me to eff off, so he does.
Don't give this joker your money. I'm out what I paid. Many other products do this sort of thing - choose those instead. -

"Faster than other programs. Got big job done faster."
Version: dBpoweramp Music Converter 14.2
Pros
*program shows that it is using full capacity (quad core) of my I-5 CPU to blaze through conversions
*converted 200+ gig library from WAV to FLAC in many fewer hours than WinAMP, MediaMonkey
*allows you to convert files within a folder and maintain file hierarchy but . . .Cons
*I have not yet mastered the settings so a lot of my tracks are showing up in other separate folders
*Album art on 2/3 of my CD folders did not get converted over, very possibly due to my own error. Still this has not proven seamless or easy as I would have liked. -
"Good mp3 converter"

Pros
Good program, the program interface is very easy to use.
Cons
My computer is completely freezing when converting files and CPU usage goes to 100%.

"Doesn't work if files are saved to computer"
Version: dBpoweramp Music Converter 14.2
Pros
Since the software didn't work the way I needed it to, I have no pros.
Cons
Doesn't work if files are saved to computer. Must have files on CD. The files I wanted to convert was an loaned audiobook that I had previously saved to my computer. I got the program when I realized that I had saved the wrong files.

"doesn't play well with Windows 7"
Version: dBpoweramp Music Converter 14.1
Pros
Disappointing (see below), because it is otherwise a good program.
Cons
Context-menu feature does not work in Windows 7, you must use windows explorer to locate the file. You cannot drag and drop files. And when the program starts, Windows 7 asks you if you want to allow dbPowerAmp to make changes to your computer.
Summary
Difficult to use in Windows 7 but otherwise excellent. Hopefully they will fix glitches

Cons
None that I have found.
Summary
