I've tried many converters, but this one is by far the best! The maker's website: "Codec Centeral" supplys an almost unlimited number of convertable formats. I am yet to find a sound file I can't change.
Cons
It says it's a trial, but after it expires, mp3 conversion is the only thing you lose, which really is not that bad. The free features are great on their own. No sense turning it down because of that!

I liked everything about it, however a less advanced computer user will be confused by it's "intuitive GU interface" To be intuitive with this piece of software one must have a nice amount of computer sense. Without it - it will be confusing.

I don't care what you're using at the moment: get this. Being able to right click one or a million files in explorer and just selecting "convert" from the right click menu is just toooooo easy!

You have to pay for it now. Shame I formatted my hard-drive and lost the free version... whoops!

It makes no difference whether you are converting one song or a complete album, DBPower will convert to MP3 (or Wav)at whatever bitrate you specify and it is lightning fast. Utterly indispensible program.

In the past I have used several audio-ripping programs, and I can tell you: this is the one. Once you load a CD, you can create mp3 files on your computer in a variety of ways... all of the standard bitrates as well as a Variable Bit Rate option. It also has advanced options that allow you to choose the channel distribution and quality of the audio. You can even convert files that are encoded in a different format to mp3; just a quick download or two for updates, and you're ready to go. Highly Recommended.

Navigation through the program can be difficult... menu controls should be easier to use
