Use Android Pay and get free stuff

Tap 10 lets you earn rewards, including a Chromecast, by using Android Pay.

Google is rolling out a program that lets you earn rewards by making in-store purchases with Android Pay.

It's easy to participate in the program, called Tap 10: Load up Android Pay on your Android device and then use it to make in-store purchases.

The program runs to February 29, 2016, and awards you a song with your first, fourth, and seventh Android Pay purchases and a Chromecast media-streaming device with your tenth. Redeem songs through Google Play Music and the Chromecast through a promotional code. You need to redeem everything by March 31, 2016.

Android Pay came out last fall and hasn't caught fire yet, accounting for just 2 percent of all Android Pay-eligible purchases on Black Friday, for example. With the rewards promotion, Google looks to be directing some attention to its mobile payment service.
