This product is ONLY for CoolWWWsearch browser Hijacker, and it will destroy any sign of the destructive malware.

GREAT little FREE program for detecting the CoolWebSearch malware and completly removing it.Quick scan of your system and a very simple interface anyone can use.
No one should be without this program in your arsenal of protection from all the nasties that can infect your PC. Very small footprint which is only 700k's in size.

Pros
Its free.
It detects and removes a LOT of variants of the horrible CoolWebSearch malware.
Scan times are very quick.
Interface is minimalistic and gives you good information during the scans.
Lets you have the program send bad files ot the recycle bin instead of deleting them right away.
Cons
Could use some interface improvements here and there.
Would be nice to know what the program is doing on the system while it looks for different variants.

MIGHT be useful if I have CWS that my anti-spyware apps couln't remove.

It's supposed to find CWS and remove it or shred it like it's name suggest, whatever but Ad-Aware found 9 CWS items and CWShredder found a big fat 0! How can this tool be useful when it can't even detect CWS?

Cwshredder is what it is a removal program for CWS. Unfortunately it has had instances where it hasnt found every part in the registry. A good program to run with Cwshredder is Webroot Spysweeper. This program will scan every part of the registry and remove any remnants of CWS.

deletes some instances of CoolWWWSearch, but.....

Unfortunately, similar to the sediments of another user who posted comments here, this program is definitely subpar in that it does not remove all instances of CoolWWWSearch. After running the most updated version of spybot again, it detected CoolWWWSearch.Feat2Installer, CoolWWWSearch.Aff.Winshow, and CoolWWWSearch.Feat2DLL. There may be more instances on my system, but spybot got bogged down and I had to stop it prematurely.

Did not detect any of the 8 variants of coolwwwsearch adware which spybot detected on my machine. Spybot cannot remove them.. this CWshredder is DEDICATED to coolwwwsearch so I'd expect it to be flawless at what it does.. but no. It's a shame there isn't one big adaware company that has created software to kill ALL adware and I mean ALL, not miss a few here and there but kills everything guaranteed. Dang it I have panda, adaware, spybot, adremover, adkiller, and I'm still loosing the fight with adware. On to google to search for the next software to try and get rid of these coolwwwsearch infections now..
