"\"isn't a streamer for internet radio\"..."

...well, except that it is. It's an audiocast player that supports a few different stream formats, preloaded with data for most US radio stations. You could listen to 99% of these stations already just by visiting their sites and opening whatever little flash gizmos they have. The convenience having them all in one place is probably worth a few bucks to many people. I'll pass though.

I agree with another reviewer that the list really should be searchable & sortable.

"Cheap enough...BUT"

Good idea...but like many others this one needs a bit of work. Advertised as "listen to 5000 stations" but tons of stations don't work. Probably not the fault of the streams come and go. But in each new release he should weed out the ones that are off the air and then advertise a 'real' number.

One bug that really needs fixing is that this program most times will stop playing in the background when I switch to another program (browser or email, or whatever). That's a deal breaker for me.

And a bit of a sneaky thing is that the programmer keeps coming up with 'new' versions, but isn't specific about what has been changed or corrected..."Fixed issues with issues fixed in previous release." What the hell does that mean?

Just a way to keep his program listed on VT every few days. I would stay away from this program for now.

"It works - but no developer response"

I have purchased this app the first day it came out. I really liked it from the beginning since I could listen to my favorite stations in CA and FL. But since the past few versions exactly my favorite two stations have been removed.
I have emailed the developer twice but received no response.

The app does what it promises but don´t expect to get a reply from the developer.

"Beta at best. One hour trial was less than 10..."

...minutes. Sheesh.

Silly me. I ASSumed when I read that the trial was one hour that it would let me restart and use for another hour. Nope. Worse, the one hour was less than 10 minutes. The idea is great but execution is beta. Buggy as can be. I have the latest versions of RR, Perian, and Flip4Mac. The stations I normally use work fine through their streaming sites. None are available through RR. I tried random choosing and after about 7 tries finally got a station to work. Then I got the trial has expired. I've tried just about every trick I know without actually bothering to [k] the thing.

Worse, developer's site is down. Probably overloaded with people bellyaching.

As this would be so much better than all the hoops to manage sites through the web I hope the developer well. I just can't see spending $$ to be an early beta tester.

Besides bugginess, columns in the station listing need to be sortable. Also a script to put the fonts into the correct places should be basic. For that matter, freewares have installer packages.

While it works fine on my intel MacBook I still cannot get it to run correctly on my G4 eMac. I really like the number of stations available. Besides the problems with the G4 I think the program could do without checking on all the stations each time you click on a state. I don't think they have changed that much in the last 10 minutes. Once every hour or at every launch would be fine. Of course this is really a non issue on faster Macs.

I plan on purchasing this program as soon as I can afford the 10 fee which I consider an excellent price. It still needs a few bug fixes and some sanding around the very few rough edges it has but this is a great program and the developer is quick to react.

I tell ya, this program really has helped me out a lot. Since I moved in with my son I've been missing some of my favorite radio stations. This really came in handy.

iMac G5 PPC. This application works for me. But is a little slow bringing up radio stations. Would also like to see radio stations grouped by city or areas of a state.
