Stefan Sundin's Altdrag provides an easy way to resize onscreen windows. With an incredibly simple set of commands and a useful function, this is a great tool for window jugglers. It performs the same basic function as Windows' built-in window resizer, but with extras, such as the ability to change a window's size by clicking anywhere on the active window border.
The program's interface is extremely easy to use, since the commands consist of little more than a few keyboard and mouse clicks. The onscreen instructional told us everything we needed to know to use Altdrag in about one paragraph. To use it, you simply grab any open window and resize it with a click-and-drag motion. Double-click any window and it automatically goes back to its original size. The motion is smooth and accurate, and it seems useful for managing several open windows at once. The program also claims a special feature: it can "stick" to other windows, though nothing special happened when we used the specified key combination. While this program didn't revolutionize window resizing, it streamlined the process, which is good enough.
This is a free program. Its ability to resize windows faster than the traditional method makes Altdrag worth adding to your Windows experience, and we recommend it.
