"Provides Excellent, protection and detection, but slows down the system a little"
Pros: I have used many anti-spyware programes, and of them all, i think this is the best, it has excellent, spyware protection, and also the firewall is pretty good, this is a good product for all those who would like to have their pc secured
Cons: well, the only con, which i have noticed, is it uses memory a little bit more, and has slowed down the startup of my system. and another con is that, when i scanned my system again with spyware doctor , after scanning with zonealarm, the spyware doctor recognized one cookie, but it a very low rated, cookie and it wont do any harm, so i think zone alarm pro is very good, compared to any other antispyware

Version: ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0
Pros: This firewall is diferent than "Zone Alarm" free. The whole app which includes what they call anti-spyware is smaller. I have been using it for the full trial period and bought it yesterday. What I find is a strong firewall "that remembers your settings", stealths up your machine and has many configurable features and levels of protection. Great interface, user friendly reguardless of your expertise. The so called anti spyware app that comes with it looks to me, more like an anti trojan app. If you watch it scan, you can see that the vast majority of the nasties it is looking for are win32 trojans. I like it, own it and recommend it if you have the power to push it.
Cons: The first restart is like my 90 year old grandma getting going in the morning. I'll admit I was nervous then, wondering if the darn thing was going to start at all. But my patients paid off. It's kind of heavy so if youve got the power good, if you don't, it's not good.

"I'm sick of zone alarm lack of support and bug problems"
Pros: the past
Cons: At one time there was no doubt zone alarm was the best protection for the money. About 6 months ago, zone alarm started to make me constantly check the button for them not to repeat their security warning. It did no good, the warning kept coming. I researched for a fix and what I found did not work. The file they recommended deleting would not delete. Next 7.0 update came out and I thought this may fix the problem. I was wrong. It did not fix it and plus added a new problem. Now I can't update my virus definitions. Again research showed others had this problem, but no solution. I found out to be true what others have said. No support, not unless you want to pay for it. You shouldn't have to pay when you are talking about a buggy program. In 30 days my subscription expires. I will not be renewing it. I was wondering if I'm the only one who is frustrated by the lack of support and finding solutions for zone alarm problems.

Version: ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0
Pros: Very light on the system.Does not slow down my pc at all.Very quick in picking up viruses.Vey easy to set up.When the rules are created it's a piece of cake.Once set up you can forget it.Tried them all, the worst being the dreaded Norton/Symantec.I am really happy with ZoneAlarm Pro.
