Summary
I've been using this product since the days BlackICE was the cornerstone of the consumer-end firewall. I tried BlackICE and did not like it one bit. ZA was more complicated at the time, but it only challenged me more to learn about it. To keep a long story short, I used ZA as a means to clean a computer out with malware and viruses. Everything I did worked like a charm because of this product under the most testy conditions. It passed with flying colors and this guy is forever a ZA nut.

great free product. It is better then most free products out there. it is fast to respond to threats. it has stopped alot of viruses while i was on the internet and removed them as fast as they were detected

I log on several times a day to check my e-mails and surf the net. I've been using Symantec's Norton Antivirus (360) for several years but then my subscription came to an end but I wasn't getting my paycheck for at least another week, so I was unable to immediately renew my subscription. Having needed online protection immediately, I Googled "FREE+ONLINE+INTERNET+SECURITY" and Zone Alarm popped right up. I really liked that Zone Alarm offers BOTH the antivirus and the firewall components free of charge. If you've worked with other internet security suite programs such as Nortons, you'll feel comfortable using this program. My first thought was : Is this as secure as Nortons?
I visited a website that tests your computers vulnerability, called "Shields Up". Basically that site tries to gather as much information about your PC and sees if your ports are open (thereby being susceptible to online attacks). My computer passed with flying colors using the Zone Alarm program.Cons
None that I can think of, and I've been using it for a few months now.

ZoneAlarm is very easy to use, I trust every user could say the same. It doesn't slow down your computer, but still it works perfectly fine without "asking too many questions".

Summary
I have had my computer completely crash using several other so-called reliable antivirus programs. ZoneAlarm does everything a computer owner with past problems would expect it too. Very satisfied and wouldn't trade it for anything!!

I've been using Zone Alarm since one of the first laptop I used. And I've never stopped using it since then. It's free, it works like a charm (never in all these years have I had any problems, issues whatsoever with zonealarm nor with any safety issues.) Zonealarm protects my pc and now with the free Antivirus+Firewall suite it's easy to protect and clean your computer with one simple program.
And last, and maybe one of the things I love the most about Zonealarm is that it's low-profile. I've never had any issues with pop-ups, anyone adds,... And that's a big plus, since I like online gaming and a pop-up could ruin a whole game for me.Cons
I think the updater should be a build-in plugin so we don't always have to manually go to the site, DL and install the update.

Zone alarm antivirus + firewall is a high quality product, very easy to use, very straightforward and powerfull. The firewall makes my computer invisible and alerts for any network activity. The antivirus is also great because is using the most powerfull antivirus engine from kaspersky. All in all I truly recommend this product and thank the team of developers who created it.
Cons
There is no option to deselect zonealarm bar at the begining of the installation of this product. But is forgivable, it`s not so bad

Summary
After initial installation, everything worked to perfection. It automatically captures viruses, malware, spam, etc. I feel safe on the web with the firewall attached. Couldn't ask for a better FREE product.

auto update once in every 24 hrs unless done manually. free antivirus huh ? no pain no gain. :D

this anitvirus is perfect. ive tried other antiviruses before. now im trying ZA. simple and user friendly program. the only thing is the update are taking too long sometimes. its not bcoz of the size of the update but the ping from my laptop to the update server seems to be laggy and i knew my internet connection is good. this program is totally recommended. especially to those who likes to visit anonymous websites. :)

This is by far the best Free antivirus and firewall application out there. I have been using this product since a few years now and never had any complaint. I have used many other firewalls but they always have one or the other issues with them. This was one of the first apps to be compatible with Windows 8 when not many security apps were available.
My experience has been amazing with this app, I have always recommended this app to my friends and other guys. I would like to rate it 10/10 and would like to congratulate ZoneAlarm to have made an amazing application which actually does what it says without any issues.
Good job team for making such an app.
