"Good products only if you don't have any issues"
Pros: ZoneAlarm firewall has been an excellent product, the virus package is OK, and the browser protection (ForceField) seems to perform pretty well as stand alone packages.
Cons: The technical support is very poor, and I paid upfront for their premium support. Check Point offers no support for either their online backup service (iDrive) or their wireless router (Z100G), so they offer no system synergy.
Summary: When things work, ZoneAlarm technology works as well as any, but when you have an issue, you go for days between getting any kind of non-automatic response. The gap between customer service and technical support is big enough to swallow a dragon. Ch... read more

"Slows System Performance & Causes Blue Screen On Win7"
Pros: Detects Malware quickly, Good firewall and virtualization techniques.
Cons: ZA includes a bunch of bloatware that clutters the system and can drag even the most powerful systems to a crawl. This piece of software causes blue screens and unexpected freezing on Windows 7 x64.

"Bloated slow and ineffective"
Pros: Use to be a good firewall
Cons: Use to be a light weight and fast firewall, now they've bundled it with a mediocre antivirus and it just sucks
Get Comodo Firewall if you really need one anymore and use any number of free AVs that work better.Summary: Sorry to say it but this program isn't worth installing even if it were free. You can do better with Avira, Malwarebytes, and Comodo Firewall all free and better than what Zone labs has become since they were sold. read more

"Lot's of overhead, but effective."
Pros: Good at preventative measures.
Cons: Slow, burdomesome, and needs lot's of user interaction to "learn". My current version (have used it for about 10 yrs) seems to have trouble in the "learning" mode and never quite gets it.
Summary: Good for protection, but slow and a heavy load. (I have a Pentium E7400 processor; 4GB of Ram; a 1TB, 7400 RPM harddrive and it still seems to bog things down) read more
