    "Works great so far"

    Version: Yummy FTP 1.0.1

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I agree that Yummy resembles Transmit which I own and use every day. However, Yummy allows for considerably improved control over permissions. With Transmit, in using the SFTP connection to my host server, the Read pemissions for World were nullified. I have contacted Tranmit about this but have never received a reply. I had to use FUGU which works fine with respect to retaining the original permissions (and its free) but FUGU has no syncronication. For frequently updated, large web sites syncronication is a necessity. Yummy handles the pemissions just fine, so far, and it has all the great syncronization of Transmit (I have not used the Mirror, just the one way sync). To use Transmit I had to move my sites to a less secure server. With Yummy, I can move them back to the secure site. Have not had a chance to check the documentation or test the support. And it seems a bit slower than Tansmit in terms of time to connect. But the actual transfers, once connected, seem just as fast. I'm sold enough to purchase it.
