I get the movie in the video preview screen, but when I click Download FLV button nothing happens... am I doing something wrong??

You don't even have to give embed info, just the URL. It downloads as an FLV file. Opened right up in quicktime for me. Saved it as .mov.

So far it has worked without a problem.

Maybe reviewer who said "kinda worked" (huh?), admonished CNET, called it garbage etc., "kinda" didn't know what he was doing.

Downloads --AND-- converts files from .flv! RECOMMENDED 100%
Cons
You have to wait 15 seconds for it to be opened up unless you buy the full ($20) version, which sucks.

Garbage software. Waste of time to download and needs to be removed from CNet. Seriously guys. Isn't this why we come to your site it to get safe downloads that actually work.
