  Pros

  Does a nice, fast job downloading.

  Cons

  Aggressive Ad Toolbar Installed
  
  Conversion to other formats (than mostly FLV) is limited in basic version.

  Summary

  Does a very nice job downloading YT videos fast. It also supports downloading a playlist in the free version that lets you download an entire list of YT videos quickly.
  
  The real downside is the Agressive ad-toolbar that gets installed into your browser. I have heard that it will install it even if you opt out in install. I had the toolbar show up when I just did an in-program update without asking.
  
  It installs in Fifrefox, Chrome, and IE, and changes search provider to Yahoo, and takes over your 404 error pages. It's hard to get rid of in IE 8 as well because of no evident uninstaller (I could only disable).
  
  The worst part, is the "searchsettings.exe" that loads on startup and enforces each of the browsers to have it as the default search engine. This crashed my updated v18 chrome browser multiple-times on start because it's poorly made.
  
  >Steps to remove searchsettings.exe from your startup in XP:
  - Run > msconfig.exe
  - On the startup tab, find search settings.exe
  Full Path - C:\program Files\common Files\spigot\Search - Settings.exe
  - Uncheck it.
  - Click ok

  have you tried to go into the path your describing and erasing the adware stuff. its the worst when programs install adware and then you cant uninstall it.
