It does what the product intends to do, to a certain degree.
Cons
I only tried it once, so it may not be so bad but the only video I grabbed with this program did not have sound once the download was complete. The video still worked, however, and was a tutorial so I didn't necessarily need sound.

I have found a pretty darn good alternative. Instead of downloading and installing software to complete the intended task, you can download a youtube video like this:
Lets pretend the video is THIS:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Aj0MUjq6wo
To download this video I would simply change the URL in my browser to:
http://www.KISSyoutube.com/watch?v=0Aj0MUjq6wo
Just add the word KISS before youtube.com and hit enter. You can then download it in a great quality mp4 video.

I tried this first, but then settled on the "Meep Media Downloader" instead. It was easier to use and works for a lot more sites.

Another program that tries to install a stupid toolbar. Also wants to make Yahoo your homepage and doesn't give you the option not to.

Though I would prefer a browser plugin for downloading flash videos, this program does exactly what it promises and is very easy to use. Just paste a link to a youtube video and download! Also converts to several file formats, which is nice!

None so far - would be nice to see a browser plug-in version, though
