  "does exactly what you want it to"

  Version: YouTube Downloader 2.5

  Pros

  Much improved from the last release, which I had on my other laptop. Easy conversion in multiple formats. Makes fast work of youtube vids.

  Cons

  you can't edit what you download with this program, so be sure to find a clean version of the video clip you plan to save.

  Summary

  One of my favorite programs. It does what it says, no more, no less. Simple and effective.

  "clean, simple, fast"

  Version: YouTube Downloader 2.5

  Pros

  Downloads quickly
  Converts relatively quickly
  Can convert video to audio (mp3)
  Usually figures out video name
  Plays flv files after download
  Works on most flv video sites (Yahoo Video, etc.)

  Cons

  UI could be improved
  Took a while to figure out
  Default conversion type should be WMV

  Summary

  Does what it says, with no frills. As long as it keeps working, I'll keep using it.

  I don't have any problems downloading hd videos from youtube
