"Tries to change home page and won't install properly."
Pros
It's free.
Cons
During installation it tries to switch one's home page and to change one's default search engine.
Summary
Why are all of the Youtube downloaders I've ever tried complete disasters? I know it's free software, so-called, but "free' shouldn't mean "at a price".
Just tried to install it again to see if I could bypass the radio buttons, but it simply didn't install when I opted out.

I've gone through several YouTube downloading apps. Typically their downfall is Google's continual tweeking of their web code, presumably to stop downloaders, thus breaking the application's ability to function. Some developers have valiantly tried to keep up but instead gave up.
The only one that has consistently worked and is consistently updated to thwart changes in code at YouTube is DownloadHelper, the add-on extension for Firefox. It's not perfect. Sometimes you have to restart Firefox to get DownloadHelper out of a bad mode where only vapor is downloaded. But it's the only one with decent reliability over time.
As for YouTube Download 'Pro', it sounds amateur and not a little nepharious.
