"Reasonable for a freebie, but version 14.08...!?"
Pros
An interesting take on Yahtzee, and the computer opponent is a fairly good idea...
Cons
Not as intuitive as you'd hope, especially when you can see the computer score in places you apparently can't.
Very small play-window, with no obvious way of enlarging it.
Not helped by the author's poor command of English.Summary
This version doesn't seem to actually INSTALL anything, so you're left to remember where you downloaded it to, create your own shortcut to that point, or move it into your Programs folder, AND create your own shortcut.
There's an html link included in the zip file, which takes you to a page asking for donations. It doesn't seem demanding, but I'm not sure whether it's worth donating or not - if this was version 3 or 4, probably so, but 14.08...!?
For those who can't understand the authors grasp of English, here's MY version of the play instructions...:
Firstly, the yellow boxes are where you CAN put your scoring/non-scoring (use ctrl+left-mouse-button) dice.
Secondly, the FIRST column can ONLY be filled top-to-bottom, the SECOND HAS to be filled BOTTOM-to-TOP, the THIRD can be filled any-old-how, but any score in the FOURTH column HAS to be 'nominated' BEFORE your SECOND roll that turn, by RIGHT-CLICKING it. If you don't score what you've nominated, you'll have to force THAT BOX to accept a no-score by ctrl+left-clicking it.
