The features are just brilliant and now with less download size. I don't know how they do it, and it's all completely free with no spyware or adware! Free internet calls to PC with free voicemail (good quality too), drag and drop photo sharing (you can see and discuss photos live with your buddies), better stability, more user friendly but with more features. Skype will get a run for their money....Includes all the usual features such as instant messaging (of course), animated emoticons, direct link to chat rooms, stealth (privacy) settings, live radio. Looks and feels better than ever. Well done Yahoo!!!

twice I have removed this from my PC because it stopped working after a couple of days of use. The older version was stable... this is not!

Sure, it's a good IM. There certainly isn't anything missing, but really, how much is too much?? There's so much extra crap, it's getting useless.
Cons
I can live with all the extras, but my problem is with the Yahoo chat. And since Yahoo IM has a direct link to the chat, I think it's a relevant issue. So, here goes:
Yahoo Chat has the most worthless, useless chat rooms on the face of the planet. Unless of course, you like getting bombarded by dozens of 'bots' every minute on your screen. 99.9% of all chatters in the yahoo rooms are bots, and they don't just pose useless messages in the rooms, no... they start IM'ing you as well. And it never stops! Worse yet, every single IM pop-up from bots are all porn related. If you are thinking about downloading this for your kids to use, don't even bother because yahoo is completely irresponsible when it comes to this.
Yahoo does absolutely nothing to combat this 'bot' problem which is why I refuse to use their product.
