I like that it's quick and easy to use. It's fast, and fun to use. I love how can create a avatar. I also like that it signs on quick. It doesn't have problems like MSN Messenger and AIM. I also like that you can change the color and look of the interface.

here is my one minor gripe. The webcam experience on yahoo. IT SUCKS. Whatever technology Camfrog uses, yahoo should follow suit for Webcam chats. I know for that type of clarity and speed you need a broadband connection. But in this day and age I think of broadband connectiions like I do cable tv, meaning. I naturally assume everyone has cable tv. In this day and age I assume everyone has a broadband connection. and even if you don't, you won't notice the difference. You'll see the same yahoo webcam video we all see. But for those of use with broadband we need something better from yahoo. And supermode is a joke, it half works and requires both people to have broadband connection and no firewalls, etc. YADA YADA YADA!!! PLEASE, YAHOO, FIX YOUR WEBCAM FEATURE. PLEASE

Being able to publically share my calendar, and having the choice to make it private is a great plus. If you've got Internet access, you can access your calendar.

Sure, it has a lot of features, but they don't necessarily work... For example, private messages are quite often unavailable (they appear to be sent, but aren't). Webcam invitations are typically sent to the wrong user (!!) when multiple message windows are opened. The chat rooms look great, but are often ruined by junk. Not just spammers, but kids using huge fonts that take up entire screens (this isn't an issue on mIRC, for example, a program that practically totals 4 bytes).
Yahoo! Messenger is kind of like the robot that Homer Simpson built but aborted just before completion. "Feeeeeed me, father."
