Version: Xplorer2 1.7.2.2
"Finally, a solid explorer replacement for windows 7!"
Pros: Constantly updated, fast, stable, highly customizable and windows 7 library compatible!
Cons: I would like to be able to manipulate the tabs more. i.e. be able to reorder them and also set different colors.
Summary: xplorer2 is constantly updated by its developer and is the only file manager compatible with Windows 7 libraries as far as I know. I have tried many alternative file managers but xplorer2 is the most stable and offers the most useable features. It is highly customizable allowing me to set it up exactly as I need. You not only get dual pane, but also tabs which means that you can have all you favourite folders open. It also has scrap containers which are like virtual folders which you can use as a temporary area for projects etc. If you are looking for an explorer replacement that is simple, powerful & elegant, this is it.
