Version: Xplorer2 1.7.1.3
"Very Cool! I use it almost daily."
Pros: Seeing the size of the directories is invaluable.
Selecting multiple rows is very cool too.

Version: Xplorer2 1.7.1.3
Pros: great product.
Cons: I don't know why but this release crashed on start up. I still give it 3 stars because the last release was great.

"Registration Problem with Trial Renders Lite Version Unusable"
Pros: I liked Lite (freeware) version of the software, so I decided to try the Full version to see if the additional features made it worth purchasing.
Cons: Although I had never installed the Full version of the software, after installation I received a message that my trial period had expired and that if I wanted to use the software, I would have to purchase a license, and the software closed.
I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to try the Full version, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the Lite version. However, when I went to start it up, I received the same licensing message I got when installing the Full version -- installing the Full version had apparently rendered the Lite version unusable.
I contacted technical support, and was given a work around that didn't work. I re-contacted tech support letting them know that the Lite version was still failing, but, as of yet, have not heard back from them.
If you've been using the Lite version and want to continue to be able to use it, I would advise against installing the Full version (unless, of course, you know you're willing to pay for a license). Otherwise, you could end up with no version working.

"Has become my default file manager"
Pros: Very convenient file management features. Things like bookmarks, autofilters and colour-coding by file type make navigating and finding things very easy.
Cons: Some of the configuration options appear to require editing the registry. I haven't tried this, and won't. I haven't figured out how to view of the contents of zip archives using Xplorer2, if indeed it can be done.

Version: Xplorer2 1.7.1.2
Pros: This File Commander descendant (not clone) has just so many usefull features, that I have not found out half of them. And it gets better and better. I just opted in for life time update and support - on top of already having paid the basic license.
The author is very enthusiastic, and the online message boards often answer your question.
Cons: May be there are just too many features?
