"A superb program for keeping all of your Favorites!"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.2
Pros
I have never had a problem with this program. It flawlessly keeps my Favorites/Bookmarks online and up to date. It can keep track of your passwords, but I haven't used XMarks for this yet as I have another password keeper.
Cons
I haven't found any problems with this.
Summary
Easy to use, sinmple interface, no problems, a great app! Restores all of my Favorites/Bookmarks without difficulty after I've done a clean install. Wonderful backup app for your bookmarks.

"Does not Connect to Xmarks Server"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.2
Pros
I have liked previous versions.
Cons
Will not connect to my account on the Xmarks server.

"Foxmarks was much better"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.2
Pros
Xmarks is an excellent product for keeping bookmarks in synchronization between Mozilla Firefox instances on different machines. I have used Xmarks, and earlier Foxmarks, on Windows XP, Windows Seven and Linux (Ubuntu).
Cons
Synchronization of bookmarks with Internet Explorer does not work well. Every time I reboot a PC then I am prompted to login to Xmarks again, which seems to me unnecessary and irritating. Synchronization of IE bookmarks often fails.
Summary
If I had the choice then I should go back to Foxmarks. The browsers that I mainly use are Firefox and Opera. I have been trying to keep IE bookmarks synchronized with IE but I am constantly disappointed with the poor reliability of this functionality. Sometimes I get duplicate bookmarks in IE which I have to remove by downloading all bookmarks from the server. I should emphasise that the product works really well for Firefox and all of the problems that I have experienced have been with IE. There is password synchronization functionality in Xmarks but I have not tried to use it.

"Makes it much easier to organise your bookmarks"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.1.4
Pros
Good all-round easy to use
Cons
Occasional crash but could be due to other factors
-
"an excellent product that becomes more intelligent"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.1.4
Pros
painless syncing. Storage of old bookmarks so no real harm can be done.
Cons
Sometimes the sync is out of whack and I'm not in the mood to deal with it. One of those computer pains -- But still, all in all, it's a big win, especially with the adored Roboform.

"Multiple computers - just one roster of favorites"

Cons
Make sure you synchronize the "right" way or you may lose some data.
Summary

"Great add on for browsers. Synchronizes across browser."
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.1.3
Pros
Synchronized bookmarks and passwords; Bookmarks synchronization is perfect.
Cons
Password synchronization not available for internet explorer.
Summary
Synchronized bookmarks and passwords; Bookmarks synchronization is perfect.
Password Synchronization, though good (for other browsers) - Password automatic fill up in web pages (in other browsers) does not look good compared to lastpass addon.
Password synchronization not available for internet explorer.
I use only for book mark synchronization. -
"Best software I own"
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.1.3
Pros
Synchronizes the bookmarks across all my computers regardless of browser.
Cons
Bookmarks are in "the cloud".
Summary
I use Xmarks on all my computers (work & home) so when I bookmark something on one, I always have access to it. I use it on Firefox, Chrome, and IE. I find this software VERY useful.

"flawless - should be a standard tool"

"Essential for bookmarking the Web."
Version: Xmarks for Internet Explorer 1.1.3
Pros
It has a quick and easy setup wizard, you can set it and forget it, and it stays out of the way; yet you can easily sync your bookmarks manually and access your settings from the toolbar icon.
Cons
Xmarks didn't tell me that my Google Chrome plugin wasn't working anymore (because it had been updated,) and it took me a few days to figure that out. But it was easy to fix.
Summary
Xmarks saves all of your bookmarks to a free account you setup online. You can then sync your bookmarks across browsers or even to other computers so that no matter where you are, you can rely on your bookmarks. If you're on somebody else's computer, you can access your Xmarks account through the web site and see, use, and manage your bookmarks there. Xmarks is an essential plugin for anyone who makes, keeps, and uses bookmarks.
