Software never worked, so I really can't say.

They deceitfully represent themselves, provide inconsistent cross platform results, customer service torturous. They will blame you for anything that goes wrong and wear you out trying to get a refund. I may report them to the Better Business Bureau!
Summary
If this software happens to run well on your computer, consider yourself lucky consider yourself lucky and run with it. I'm on a Mac OSX and downloaded that version of Xilisoft Rintone Maker. I run a recording studio, so I'm technically savvy, not a newbie. But really, this software is so simple even a newbie should be able to get up and running, no problem.
Trouble arises is the software is flaky on your computer (which it was on mine), in which case you're in trouble. They seem to have this inconsistency issue with many of their software products. While I did research reviews before purchasing, I now see that the negative ones match my experience almost to the letter (such as: http://www.amazon.com/review/RVAPP50FGFWPN/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#RVAPP50FGFWPN).
Before I go further, let me say that I purchased iSkysoft iPhone Ringtone Maker after Xilisoft's didn't work. That was up and running with 4 ringtones made in 10 minutes. A week later, I'm still trying to get a refund from Xilisoft. I doubt I'll be receiving it.
Highlights of my experience (greatly abbreviated):
Purchased the software, attempted to make ringtones. Each time a different result, following the same (correct) procedure. I either got an :08 ringtone, one that's the entire song, or one that was some 2 minute + version of a 3 minute + song. Plus you then have to go find it, put it in the right place in iTunes and hope it synchs with your iPhone, which mine didn't. iSkysoft's software puts the ringtone directly into the Ringtone folder, you synch, you're done.
Tried using the tutorial on Xilisoft's website, but it shows a completely different version of the software. I contacted customer service at this point, explained the problem in detail, asked for a refund. 2 days later:
"Then Please uninstall the old program and delete its folder and then download the program again from our website http://www.xilisoft.com/downloads-ipod-tools.html and reinstall it. The license code is still valid."
No comment on their being a different version of the software being supported.
I did this, same old software, same old problem. I contacted them again.
A day later, the reply: "We will refund when we are clear about the problem. So would you please send me that music file for testing? You can attach it directly in the email."
I did this, and of course it worked perfectly for them. A day and half later another reply: "I have tested the file you send me and have successfully made two copies as I have set the program to. Please check the screenshot and listen to the ringtones." The screenshot showed yet another version of the software... different from mine and also different from the tutorial on their website. I pointed this out to them, but there was no comment about that.
By now, I had downloaded and reinstalled the software 4 times. Luckily I had iSkysoft's software that actually worked - but I did hope for a refund from Xilisoft.
So I wrote back and said: "I'm pretty much done with this process. I believe I've been a good sport about spending over a week trying everything I've been asked and acted in good faith. I'd appreciate my refund."
Next comment, now from a different person, two days later: "Thanks for supporting Xilisoft Software! Did you try to reinstall the app to have a try? Here is the link: http://www.xilisoft.com/iphone-ringtone-maker-mac.html . And your license code is still valid. Please have a try. In addition, please keep the duration less than 30 seconds. Thanks."
Now we've entered the Twilight Zone. Same software, same results. I told them so.
A day later, new tactic: "I recommend you to try ImToo Ringtone Maker . Here is the link: http://www.imtoo.com/iphone-ringtone-maker-mac.html . ImToo is one of our cooperative partners. This converter has all the functions which Xilisoft Ringtone Maker contains. Please have a try. If it can work for you, we will send a license code to you."
It had been a week, I was done - plus the "cooperative partner" offered a "30 Day Money Back Guarantee". I pointed this out to Xilisoft and asked (for the 6th time) for a refund. Their reply a day later:
"We tested the app and did not encounter such problem. So I think you can try ImTOO product. Please have a try. Thanks."
So, no refund. Customer service means being told the software works fine for them. Now I'm to try someone else's software that appears to be same as theirs? I think not.
$15 isn't going to break the bank. I was mostly curious to see if they had decent enough customer service to be worth dealing with, since they have many products I was interested in. I wanted to know what I'd encounter if there were ever a problem. Now I know.
My conclusion: RUN from these hoaxsters!! If their software happens to work on your machine, great. You're lucky. If it doesn't (and it appears they have problems crossing all platforms), you're in for a world of pain if you try to deal with their horrific "customer service". -

I thrusted CNET and installed this software in my computer this Dump cannot be uninstalled now. I need to delete it manually and it has some files which cannot be found.Cons

creates great ringtones. clipping is easy. sending to iphone is easy.

created 15 ringtones, & assigned to 15 contacts. when I synced, ringtones vanished. contacted co. they knew it would do that. gave me lrg number of steps as workaround to get ringtones back, but then I had to reassign them to my contacts. WHAT?

I purchased several protected music from iTunes store but I was annoied by cliping them into segments to be my ringtone.This app is recommended by my friend and I fall in love with it immediately because of its high speed and simple settings.

I'm always seeking a substitution for iTunes to customize my own ringtone since i bought my iPhone 3G. It's so easy-to-use that I successfully created a perfect one even at my first use! By the way, it converts really fast! Awesome!

Lack of disclosure on the product website. They fail to tell you that every time you sync your iPhone, all custom ringtones will be deleted. The help file I received with the download referred to another product entirely. There are no refunds.
Summary
Buyer beware. This product has many shortcomings. There is no tutorial or help file (unless you count the one they sent with the download for a different product). Their website does not list the limitations of the product. Once the custom ringtones are on the iPhone, there is no way to access them for deletion. Not to worry though, each time you sync your phone, they are automatically deleted! Don't waste your money. I did and I regret it.
