"A useful reporting tool for Excel data lists"
Version: Xcelerator for Excel 4.1
Pros
I have reviewed other DPPI products now, and like the others I tested, this product is well documented and does alot of stuff. The idea here is to convert any Excel list to a full report that can have multiple charts, pivot tables with a formatted data sheet that can have filters and flexible subtotaling.
The really neat thing is that the user can save away multiple reports for a given data set and retrieve and re-apply with new data later on. Ideal for consistent download databases. Literally, hundreds of options available to customize and save for later use. Outstanding!
Cons
Not quite as modern as other DPPI products (EZ-Total and EZ-Chart), but still well thought out and documented.

"So much of my time was wasted formatting Excel, not anymore thanks to Xcelerator"
Version: Xcelerator for Excel 4.1
Pros
I download all of my data from an ERP system. It is ugly, utilitarian and not very useful. Xcelerator makes that data presentable in seconds. You can add colors, number formats, subtotals, etc. with just a couple of mouse clicks. One of the excellent features is the re-format date feature. You can turn any excel formatted date into any larger group. For example,if you have daily info, Xcelerator can change it into weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly info automatically. This is great for anaylzing sales and budgets. The best thing I like about Xcelerator is that it is completely reproducable. I have weekly and monthly reports that I download from our ERP system. I used to have to format them the exact same way every week and month. Now Xcelerator does that for me. I can analyzize the reports rather than format them. Lastly, the Xcelerator team is also very responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns I have about the product. When speaking directly with DPPI you can tell that customer satisfaction is their number one goal.
