Version: XYplorer 6.10
"It's THE Best Windows Explorer Replacement"
Pros: Have been comparing XYplorer with other Windows Explorer replacements for a couple of years now. XYplorer is a top choice for many users, especially power users. freeCommander is still worth trying, especially since it is just that - free. However, the options and features of XYplorer will probably still win out for most of those who need them. The fact that XYplorer keeps all settings in an INI file, therefore making it completely portable, is be a HUGE plus for many users. Keep up the great work, Don!

Version: XYplorer 7.40
Pros: 1. Instead of dual pane you have a tabbed interface.
2. Far superior search capabilities to your normal windows explorer.
3. Great info panel which makes it oh so simple to view all properties of a file and also preview various media format (mp3, jpeg, avi etc.)
4. Scripting & User defined commands.
5. It is portable so no installation necessary. Perfect for a usb stick.
These are just a few things that are great about xyplorer, I could go on and on about so many other things but really one just needs to try it out and have some fun with it to really appreciate the extent of it's functionality.

Version: XYplorer 7.20
"Absolutely THE BEST file manager available"
Pros: I've tried them all and this one has options and capabilities the others haven't even thought of yet. First, XYplorer is completely portable. Nothing whatsoever is written to the registry. It can be used in either tabbed or traditional modes and offers user defined commands, scripting, shortcuts to other apps and utilities and many more custom features that will blow your mind. Since installing XYplorer, I have been able to get rid of several utilities, such as file renamer, keyboard shortcut tools and several specialized batch files that are now easier to run via XYplorer scripts. The ONLY thing I use Windows Explorer for nowadays is to copy new versions of XYplorer as I download them. Give it a try - you have nothing to lose. Thanks for a FANTASTC procuct, Don !

Version: XYplorer 7.20
Pros: While many softwares are adding loads of features and slowing down their apps, XYplorer is adding features and making things slicker and faster. I have been testing the betas regularly and every release is taking the strain away from user. If you are looking for a bloat-free file manager with fast browsing speeds, user-friendly features then stop at XYplorer.
- from a proud lifetime user.

Version: XYplorer 7.30
Pros: While I am amazed how fast XY is rolling out new versions, the features have become more poweful and more user friendly. User has been given full control of integrating other apps together with XY.
With the 7.30 release user can disable and hide tree completely and replace it with his/her own custom tree (catalog). This makes XY even faster because tree browsing can slow up things (with many nested folders).
A new script feature to read from/write to any ini file. For example, the below script will read out the time duration during booting.
::GetKey $a, "timeout", "boot loader", "C:\boot.ini"; msg $a;
And switching tabs is easier now. For example if you have finished working with one project and want to switch to folders related to another project, then with one click you can close old tabs and open new set of tabs.
A quick file compare and hard link suport has been added.
Plus, 3 betas have been rolled out after two days of official release. So keep an eye of betas too.
