    "Best Widget engine used"

    Pros

    Easy to get started
    JavaScript code supported to get more creative
    Light on system resources

    Cons

    Documentation would be helpful, especially for the programming parts

    Summary

    The original review sounds a bit harsher than it should have been. The dock, for instance, only appears on demand.
    And the default widgets may seem a little limited, but there are plenty of new and innovative widgets on the Xwidget site and on DeviantART.

    I have tried Yahoo Widgets (now retired) and Microsoft's Desktop gadgets, and this application appears to use about 10% of the system resources of Microsoft's offering.
