Version: XP Repair Pro 3.5.5
"Last years version was better, safer!"
Pros: Although this application comes from a good software company, this version has gotten to aggressive for my liking. It has a nice, user friendly GUI and it's a simple, effective program, maybe to effective now. It's compatible with "XP" and "Vista'.
Cons: This release is to aggressive for me to use it blindly. The registry backup works and you have to remember to use it. It's better to look at every key it wants to delete even when you use the backup or it still might delete something you need. Unfortunately, they haven't kept up with some new programs like "MS office 2007" and some features in "Vista". The price is high when compared with "Tuneup Utilities 2007" It's a couple dollars more and I know it's a safe program and many additional functions.

Version: XP Repair Pro 3.5.2
Pros: I am impressed with this tool.It does fix a lot of errors and it's true to it's name.Scanning was fast it found over 500 errors and fixed them all.Also improves the performance of your computer and makes it more stable.Easy to use and good tech support.
Cons: None.

"this thing fixed my windows updates no more reinstalling windows fixed my errors"
Pros: xp repair Pro 2006 3.1.6 fixed my computer from get errors when i start up and shutdown and fixed my windows updates good program but kinda alot of money to spend but it fixed my problems
Cons: well first i downloaded the free version and installed it then i run a full system scan and it found over 300 errors but it will not repair it unless u paid for it. so i paid for it it was 49.99 for a one time payment and updates did anyone get that.... but when i restarted my computer when it told me too everything was fixed

"Help Desk doesn't work at all. Previous version - average software."
Pros: Nothing
Cons: After upgrade to version 3.5.6 I can't use my registry key. I am waiting customer service answer to my ticket since 27-th Jan. It is a joke.

Version: XP Repair Pro 3.1.6
"Fantastic Program-Not for the Novice"
Pros: The past few nights for me has been a interesting one testing different registry & optimizing software, I have tested around 8 different programs & all have claimed to be the best from different review sites. I am a IT student from Australia so this testing has been very interesting & informative I was constantly installing & uninstalling software during this time & found some poor to fair results when it came to some of the well-known software titles. Even when you do a google search under top registry software you then enter the software jungle with different review sites saying that this one is best or that one is better.
My top 4 programs in order would have to be xp repair pro where I found over 300 errors on my system, Advanced Registry Doctor Over 100 errors on my system, Error Killer with 90 errors on my system & Winaso Registry Optimizer with around 70 errors on my system. For advanced computer users who know what they are doing xp repair pro & Winaso are the best 2 software packages the interfaces of both these programs may look a bit ugly but if you know what you are doing it should not be a problem if you know of anything better mention it on this site. For the novice PC user who dose not know the ins & outs of a PC then Advanced Registry Doctor & Error killer will be just as good the interface is simple & easy to use & the options that are provided are straight forward. If I have made it more confusing for you into what registry & optimizing software to buy sorry! My advice is to do your homework & if still unsure see your local PC retailer.
Cons: None but the price is a bit much in Australian Dollars
