Version: XP Privacy Pro 2.0.2
"This privacy cleaner makes a good point...."
Pros: I have tried just about every "privacy cleaners" out on the market and this one makes one key point that seems to be missing in ALL other privacy cleaners.
all privacy cleaners remove all of the "private" information you don't want someone to recover but if you think about it, your information is still easily recovered from your System Restore Points. Privacy Pro let's you pick and choose which restore points you want to remove. In all honesty i've never even seen another program, much less a privacy cleaner, that let's you remove individual (or all) restore points.
It makes perfect sense though, if you want to protect yourself from an invasion of privacy, your restore points need to be cleared out or all of your data can still be easily recovered.
Good thinking Privacy Pro. For this reason I gave it 5 stars. We will see if it catches on to other privacy cleaners that target XP and Vista operating systems.
Cons: it requires the .net framework which increases the final installation file. However, keeping in mind that Windows Vista ships with .NET preinstalled, i guess it's just a plan ahead for their product to be Vista compliant.
I had avoided .NET 2.0 but their installer seemlessly installed it and i didn't have any bad side-effects from it being installed. Microsoft has .NET 2.0 as an automatic update and most new PC's are shipped with this preinstalled anyways.
