This application is a jumble of tweaks and broken functions made worse by a mess of an interface. XP Multi-Tool's bad trip-inspired interface lacks any design sense. The only positive thing to say about it is that the large buttons to access the various functions are easy to click.
As for using it, there isn't enough text on the interface to inform users on program operation. Nothing is explained well enough to satisfy an experienced user or to inform a novice. The application's saving grace is the button beside each tweak to revert changes with a single click. The program's dozen changes are common at best, and often useless. One function to change folder backgrounds appears to fail. Instead the application neglects to mention the folders will not immediately get the new background. Such lack of information is a major problem with this utility. Most useful are a series of functions to lift basic restrictions. With a click each, the program immediately removes blocks against editing the Registry, right-clicking on the desktop, and opening Task Manager.
The few functioning items aside, this isn't a program experienced users or novices would find useful. There are numerous programs in the genre that look and perform so much better than XP Multi-Tool.
This software is best for tweaking some Windows settings. Also it allows you to change your explorer background. This software removes you system restrictions like disabled registry editor, task manager, folder options due to virus or your administrator.
This software also removes the drive auto run virus due to which you cannot open your hard disk and USB drives (Pen drives, Memory cards) by double clicking. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
