"Don't waste your time or hard drive"
Version: XBOX 360 Controller For Windows 6.0.5221.0
Pros
Absolutely none.
Cons
As a Windows 7 user, I thought this might be worth a shot so I could use my Afterburner controller on my PC. Ha, ha. Joke's on me. Now I can't even get rid of it--it prevents me from removing it, so now I have to basically find a program that will help remove this vaporware from my hard drive. Either that, or reinstall my entire system.
I should have known this was a turkey, but I was desperate to use that controller. Don't make the same mistake I did, especially if you run Windows 7.Summary
This is vaporware. Don't even waste your time with it.

"Doesn't recognize controller"
Version: XBOX 360 Controller For Windows 6.0.5221.0
Pros
There aren't any pros since there is no functionality to the program.
Cons
After u inst prog u have to find it in Program Files whr it will be n a flder named : "XBox 360 Controller for Windows Software". U wn't fnd it in your start menu.
It doesn't install any drivers for the controller, therefore it is a useless program.Summary
Like the other two reviewers listed here, I feel that this is a worthless download. I would recommend it being pulled from this site.
My O.S. is Windows XP MCE with Service Pack 2 with no other windows updates.
(Sorry for the difficult to read Cons, I had to trim down to 250 characters.) -

"can't even install"
Version: XBOX 360 Controller For Windows 6.0.5221.0
Pros
can't tell...it won't install
Cons
won't install!
Summary
I am running Windows XPpro SP3. So I went to MS's site to trouble shoot system specs.
This is from their site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908888
What version of Windows are you using?
The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows is designed to work for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and later versions of Windows. Windows XP SP2 is very easy to install. The quickest method is to use Windows Update.
So I'm keying in at the statement: Service Pack 2 (SP2) and later versions of Windows.
However I can't install it cuz it keeps looking for SP1 or SP2. ***?
Is this a cruel joke from Microsoft to make you buy a controller with the driver on disc?
