Pros
Does exactly what it is supposed to do rename long files to predefined standard; intent to remove problems when moving from an OSX desktop to a legacy, OS9 machine or an older PC server. This was not created for any other purpose.
Cons
Using product will not make you rich except if you use the time it saves to do that. :-)
Summary
It is free so you have nothing to lose. We created it for one of my client's a number of years ago and still get emails from appreciative users where this solves a need. It has been updated to address any bugs or features needed. I would pay hundreds of pennies for this product.
