Version: X2: The Threat demo
"Elite on Steroids"
Summary: If you are familiar with the old school PC game of Elite, then you'll be right at home with this game. Explore a vast universe, trade goods, buy ships, sell ships, upgrade them, fight pirates, be a pirate, and much, much more.
Game has great graphics. Fairly decent voice overs to help set the mood and the music is decent(I like the docking music). I suggest you have a good rig to play this game, 2.0ghz and atleast 512meg ram and a geforce4 with 128 ram or better. Anything less and you'll be turning off many options. With the affirmentioned rig you can play with all options in 1024x768 very smoothly. Did I mention this game has gret graphics? :D
Controls are a bit to be desired and there is a fairly steep learning curve(be prepared to set aside 2 hours at first to learn the game) but all in all a great game. Well worth the download to try out it before buying it.
