"I would not use XCart if I had it to do over again."

Pros
It works, most of the time. Has some good features.
Cons
Tech support is in Russia, 9-5, M-F Russia time, which is midnight to 8 am here. If you have a problem, they will help you after midnight. I submitted a trouble ticket last night. In the middle of the night they replied with "read the directions." I have a paid tech support account. I replied with a reiteration of the problem. They replied, "Thank you for the response. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay with a reply and possible inconvenience caused. The engineer working on your request will be available on Mar 25th at 09:00 and proceed as soon as possible then. Your patience is appreciated." Today is 3/22/13. I have to wait 3 days before they will respond. I recently upgraded my stores to the latest version. I have 8,000 customers and 500 products and decided that rather than switch I would upgrade. It took 2 months, losing thousands of dollars in business and a lot of customers. My sales are down about 50% thanks to so much down time. And I still have problems.
Summary
I would NOT use XCart again if I had to do it over and I strongly urge anyone who is considering XCart to look elsewhere.
