"I like it now and I always did"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
This tool might cost more than the free programs, but let's face it - I also get a lot more. They come up with a major release at least once a year. And guess what, I always enjoy the features they add. I synch my preferences, which allows me to have all of my choices on any computer I use - eveywhere I go. I like it more than the full browser options I can create with sites like Google or Yahoo - because it's not a full screen app. I can actually work and still check out the information I need from the news. Ever since they've added the RSS headlines a few years ago, I really started to have fun with this program.
All in all, you pay nothing - you get nothing. Here, I pay - but I couldn't be happier with the product or the company's customer service.

"Cool, simple to use- and excelent benefits"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
First, let's start with the fact that this ticker just looks cool on my screen. But really, this program is efficient and actually provides much more than the authors promote on the site. There are so many cool features that I don't think there is a compatible system on the market. I like the fact that I can see all the headlines with my keywords on a separate page. I like the fact that I can save headlines for later. The breaking news alerts are a life saver. A also screen various email accounts with Worldflash. Right now, I am using Worldflash to track a few Ebay auctions (RSS feed) and whenever there is a new posting I get it as a breaking alert news. I have used it in the past to track items on Craigslist as well. Since I am in corporate sales, I use it to keep up with my clients - as well as with their industry news. So, I always have something to chat about about when I call my accounts to keep in touch. It's an ice breaker.
All in all, this is a great program and I really enjoy it.
Cons
I wish they had a summary of the story when I place the mouse over a headline. Other than that, it's perfect for me.

"The best news ticker I have found"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
This is a great and useful program that I have been using for many years. It reliably brings in my choices for news, sports, weather and stocks, plus I find the email-checking feature to be very useful. There are many other cool features, but I also wanted to mention the excellent customer service I have received. Not free, but well worth the registration price.

"How I became a Chronic Worldflasher!"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
Once you enter your personal settings and customize the countless News sources, RSS feeds, industry specific alerts and e-mail alerts you can continue your day-to-day workflow without interruption. I have been recommending this to so many friends that one even suggested that I am a "Chronic Worldflasher"...not a bad compliment.
Cons
Takes a couple of minutes to customize, but once there...worth the effort!

"Salut to WorldFlash"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
I've been using WorldFlash everyday for about 3 years now. I prefer it over other RSS readers because the ticker format allows me to work - while I get the news. In my case, the fact that I can view only the latest headlines (I need it to be no longer than 30 minutes) is an incredible plus for my success. I also programmed the stock ticker and requested to see the latest headlines that go along with each stock. This is a true gem!

"Best program I've ever downloaded"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
I don't quite remember how I eve lived without Worldflash. I actually like it more than the free program I got from my online trading company. I check my stocks in addition to about a million news sources. I've added my own RSS feeds in Hebrew - and I just love it. Since I am in sales, I programmed Worldflash to give me all the recent breaking news about my industry - total and complete time saver. My boss saw it on my screen and bought copies for all ten of us at the office. We now use it to scroll company news.
The few times that I needed service, they were right there to help.

"Excellent Software"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
I've used various versions of this software on and off for the past few years, and I've always been impressed. It allows you to easily customize where you want the ticker, how many (one to four) tickers you want running at once, and the individual appearance of all of those.
Unlike seemingly everyone else here... I've never had trouble adding my own RSS feeds. It's been an option for as long as I can remember. Additionally, the software comes preconfigured with a ton of RSS feeds enveloping all interests and regions. It also has a rather functional stock ticker and weather ticker option.
Cons
While they do let you add RSS feeds, there seems to be a maximum limit of ten custom feeds - annoying, as their own pre-added news feeds can number beyond a hundred with no problems.
Sometimes, it misses a mouse click, making you click again. This turns into a problem when the computer as busy, as missing a click and slow response time are hard to distinguish... often resulting in my browser opening a bunch of headlines I didn't want.

"Great Desktop Ticker!"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
This ticker has everthing. First off, it is fully customizable with over 100 news feeds all around the globe. You could recieve news desktop alerts from a variety
of sources. It even has local news, weather and stock tickers. The feeds are LIVE so everything is timely. If you see a headline you want to know more about you could easily click on it and get the news feed artical. This service is so great, reliable and so informitive. I found out so much from a wide array of news sourses what happening. Its news ticker at is best!
I trully recommend this to anyone that wants to keep informed, stay ahead of the news, and be intelligent as to whats happening in the world.
Cons
Not a lot of things I can't say bad about this service. However, since I have a mind thats always thinking of new ideas and such, I have thought of 2 perhaps ideas in the future for an upgrade. First, have an Amber Alert Ticker. Second, A Weather Alert Ticker. Or have a Terror Alert News Ticker...
This system is purely recommended!
You got to be a fool not to get this!

"A True Rip-Off"
Version: WorldFlash News Ticker Gold M7.68
Pros
It's a halfway-decent news ticker, if you can stand the huge gaps that tend to occur between items, and the fact that you can't add custom URLs.
Cons
First of all, you can't add your own URLs to WorldFlash. Want to add Google News? You can easily get an RSS or Atom URL for Google News, but WorldFlash provides no way to use it. This is by design, so they can keep charging you $45.00 every two years, and pretend they're providing a "service".
How long has RSS been available? How many other RSS readers are there? There is absolutely no reason for a news ticker not to allow you to add your own URLs.
This is why I say it's a rip off. You can only use the news sources that are preconfigured, and you can't add your own. You can beg for them to add a new source, but don't count on it being added.
